The Wizard of Oz: More than just the movie that syncs up with "The Dark Side of the Moon".

Thinking about The Wizard of Oz I always felt there must have been something else about it that made it the classic that it is. After reading this link, it's clear just why it made the buzz that it did.

While the film does come across as a beatiful visual film, it does this in a clever way to help mask the satire that is littered throughout the movie. It is so easy to miss the political references in the film, especially for younger viewers in this day in age. Whether it's the twister representing the stock market crash or the symbols that the cast represents, The Wizard of Oz "can still be viewed as the current state of affairs, inasmuch as the allegorical nature, the clues strewn throughout the story, are still relevant today."

I'm sure that after you read this article The Wizard of Oz will never seem the same again.
